We Are Expanding to Los Angeles
At Pixster we have had our sights set on the Los Angeles market since our inception in 2013, so our announcement today of an LA office opening comes as no surprise. We already offer photo booth rentals in the Los Angeles area via our Irvine office but do not yet have a physical presence in LA. Currently, we charge a travel fee for events outside the Orange County area. With the opening of the new location, customers will no longer need to pay a travel fee.
Our aggressive expansion in 2015 included opening offices in Austin, Texas and Irvine, Orange County, and we have no signs of slowing. Recently featured in the San Diego Business Journal, Pixster has become a well-known brand in Southern California. Having serviced an estimated 1100 events in 2015 and projecting 1500 rentals in 2016, we are the largest non-franchised photo booth company on the West Coast. To date, we have had over 500,000 users and more than 1.5 million photo views per month. CEO McLain Harvey says, “We will never stop trying to be the best at what we do. Our team is constantly trail-blazing new technology, finding new ways to ‘wow’ our clients, and consistently providing the level of service Pixster has become known for.”
The most popular photo booth offered is our signature open-air photo booth, a unique take on a classic and allows clients to customize their rental experience. From customizing the backdrops to being able to share photos via email and social media, this style booth has something for everybody. Much of our success can be attributed to a focus on providing the highest quality open air photo booth experience to our customers. Boasting more than 100 five-star reviews on their Yelp page, we have set ourselves apart from other photo booth rental companies. Of course, this style photo booth will be available to rent at the new Los Angeles location.
Although the final location has not been chosen yet, it will most likely open its doors in the North Hollywood area. According to McLain, “North Hollywood is the most logical choice. It is central, affordable, and allows us to offer rentals for the majority of Los Angeles County without having to charge additional fees.” The tentative date for opening is Q1 of our fiscal year (March-May).

I was reading about a photo booth company expanding to Los Angeles the other day. They started in 2013 with a single office, added locations in Austin and Irvine, and by 2015 were handling over a thousand events a year.
